Richard Thompson has dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence in the field of hairdressing. Working his way up from aged 15,

Richard's work made it to the world stage in 1979 when he broke onto the cover of the Hairdresser Journal International.

 

In the same year Richard co-founded Mahogany Hairdressing Group and with the help of a dedicated team of 150 staff working across 6 salons and 4 academies, they became world renowned for their cutting and colouring techniques.

 

An International creative Director and former President of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, Richard has numerous editorial & advertising magazine publications, awards and accolades including, 

 

British Fellowship Hairdresser of the year, AIPP Best Photo, AIPP Avant Garde, Australian Master, Brazilian Master and most recently 2016 International Icon  By the IHF. 

 

His work is rich and diverse and constantly evolving, as he says, “Like life”
